Paul's background is in major construction projects where his former position included Director of Industrial and Airport Projects. Operating at an executive level, projects ranged from the construction of airport terminal buildings to the planning of power plants.

In recent years TWA’s main focus has been on managing the implementation of facilities designed to convert Energy from Waste (EfW). In this area, Paul’s development of strategies and corporate solutions has led to the successful completion of some of the largest plants within the UK.

Stephen is a skilled professional manager with over forty years experience in the construction industry, the last 17 of which have been spent at Senior Executive level.

Having worked on ventures both in the UK and internationally, Stephen’s skills have contributed to the success of prestigious projects such as the Channel Tunnel Rail Link to major power related projects, including constructions within the waste to energy sector.

Having implemented management systems into a number of prestigious projects for leading construction company Hochtief, Nidhal has enhanced her thirty years of experience as a specialist of quality management, health and safety, environmental and civil engineering.

Her recent assignments for Hochtief include the setting and implementing of the quality management, safety and sustainability strategies, implementing management systems on major projects throughout the UK, many of which have been valued at over £100m.

Victoria PoolmanVictoria R. Poolman BA, MA - PR and Marketing

Having completed a Masters in literature and creative writing, Victoria has five years of experience writing articles for trade titles, B2B copy and working on a number of promotional campaigns within the construction sector. Whilst working with TWA, she has prepared detailed content on a number of topics within the sector including: power, energy from waste, architectural design, building, rail traction and infrastructure, and a number of events and council projects.

The importance of accuracy when submitting tenders and bidding documentation is often overlooked, despite being crucial in the acquisition of new contacts. Victoria specialises in recognising the key objectives and presenting a company’s offering to meet those requirements in a professional, informative format.

Paul jacksonPaul Jackson – Senior Estimator

With a broad range of experience accrued over decades of working within the UK’s leading construction and civil engineering firms, Paul’s speed, computing skills and ability to obtain detailed costs from basic line drawings provides the accuracy required when submitting tenders.

Having worked as the Lead Estimator on a number of esteemed projects, including the Channel Tunnel Rail link and the PFI bid for the £178,000,000 Woolwich Extension to The Docklands Light Railway, Paul’s level of accuracy has played a large part in the success of many prestigious developments.

Peter ThomasPeter Thomas BSc (Hons) MCIWM AIfL - Waste Specialist

Peter has worked in the waste industry for 18 years, principally at an operational level. He was General Manager of Bristol's largest privately owned waste management business until its sale in 2006, responsible for the operation of a fleet of 80 collection vehicles and a number of waste and recycling facilities covering the wider sub-region from Bristol.

As a registered assessor for statutory Certificates of Technical Competence, Peter now provides advice and mentoring to businesses involved in the waste management process. He also specialises in permitting work and general waste contracting business as well as interim management for operational waste facilities.

Peter TesarPeter Tesar – Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Architectural Drawing

Having developed his skills within the construction industry, Peter started his own architectural design and build business in 1993. As an experienced, dedicated project manager and planner, Peter is experienced in all elements of CAD, architectural design and planning, whilst being aware of all current rules and regulations.

Specialising in commercial, private and mobility and disability solutions, from renovation to complete new-build projects, Peter is skilled in all elements of the design and build process and can assist in developing bespoke solutions on any scale.
